Holistic Therapy for couples, teens and adults.

Serving you for over a decade!
I am a seasoned couples therapist of 18 years with a wide array of experience. Whether you are struggling with a painful relationship issue, a stressful life transition, unresolved emotional trauma, or addictive tendencies, I can help!
Over the years I have worked with individuals and families in relationship crisis or who are struggling with the pressures of what life can throw at you. We all have lessons in life and if we don’t attend to the patterns and cycles that repeatedly show up in our lives, we will be limited in reaching our potential and personal goals.
My therapeutic strengths of non-judgment, compassionate listening, and insight about relationships can help you get from surviving to thriving. It’s all about you when you’re here.
The best predictor of success in therapy is the strength of the therapeutic relationship. Finding a therapist who is knowledgable, understanding, intuitive and trustworthy is important in order to help you achieve your goals. The initial session will help to determine if it is the "right fit." Your therapist will then make recommendations that will best help you in your journey. You can expect thoroughness, expertise and a holistic approach. We focus on the whole person: Mental health, physical health and nutrition, relationship health etc. Your individual therapist will help you address your relationship with self, relationship with others and relationship with the world.
Our approach with couple relationships is focused on more than just improving communication. Couples therapists or couples counselors aim to get to the core issues quickly and work through them effectively using a variety of techniques, including emotionally-focused therapy.
All couples have common sources of tension such as money, sex (or lack thereof), parenting, work/family imbalance, different religion and/or traditions, in-laws, me-time, etc
We assist couples in being able to articulate deeper these needs in a structured, safe and non-judgmental environment and then move toward more beneficial interactions to create a lasting bond with one another. HOW we talk about these issues makes all of the difference!
Our team of licensed and experienced counselors are dedicated to The dynamic within each family is complex and unique. Issues such as divorce, grief/loss, addiction, or mental health issues can impact families profoundly. Each individual typically deals with these challenges differently and family therapy creates a safe forum for individuals to express their feelings and concerns in productive ways to increase cohesion. The blending of families is also a difficult process. It is beneficial to engage in some kind of family therapy to make the transition smoother.
Anxiety can impact so many areas of life making it difficult to do even the smallest things. You may wonder "What is wrong with me?" You may find yourself avoiding situations or tasks, ruminating about the future or past and constantly living in fear or worry. You may even find yourself being hyper vigilant in order to cope with uncertainty.
Depression can steal your joy and relationship with yourself and others, even with your higher power. You may find that you feel numb or overwhelmingly sad and hopeless. Your health could be struggling and your brain is foggy. Maybe you notice increased anger and irritability and your confidence is struggling.
There can be so many different causes for depression. Your therapist will help to identify if you are experiencing situational depression (a life event or transition that has brought on the symptoms) Graduating high school, moving homes, and unexpected diagnosis, new baby, loss of a loved one, etc. OR
Clinical depression (a chemical imbalance not explained by a cause. In fact it may seem like life is going well, and you feel you should be "happy", but feel despair instead.)
It is important to address the root cause so you can move along a path of healing and feeling like yourself again!
ART incorporates a combination of techniques used in many other traditional psychotherapies. ART works directly to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. ART accomplishes this through the use of rapid eye movements similar to eye movements that occur during sleep. ART’s directive approach can achieve rapid recovery from symptoms and reactions that may have been present for many years.
Sports can be an incredible experience and also involves a rollercoaster of emotions for athletes and parents. We can help you navigate your relationship with sports for greater happiness and success, on and off the court.
